  1. The Surface Scan failed while performing multi-sector I/O, but worked in single-sector mode.  This usually indicates a defective hard drive controller.

  3. If you were performing a read-write test your data may be damaged!

  5. Be sure to select single-sector I/O when running DiskTune.
